Do you have furniture that you would like to give to charity? RING: 07771 697708 We offer FREE collection. We will welcome donated furniture if it is in good clean condition. We reserve the right to decline your offer if we feel it is unsellable or too bulky to move easily. Soft furnishings must have a BS fire label (includes dining chairs). We are now able to take selected electrical goods e.g. fridges/freezers and small household appliances. Sorry, no washing machines. Opening Times: Monday to Friday: 9.30 - 12.30 Saturday amd Sunday: closed	How do I get free furniture? You need to be referred by a church minister, agency or charity. For example: Social Worker Educational Welfare Officer Probation Officer Council Housing/Homeless Officer Rest Home Manager GP Housing Charity Officer They should write, stating your circumstances briefly, and giving us your contact details, to: The Manager Beacon Furniture 29 Market Parade HAVANT PO9 1PY You will then be invited to come and see what we have available in the shop and to arrange free delivery.
What do we do with the furniture you donate? Donated goods are: Given to anyone in need who is referred to us by local agencies or churches, OR Sold at a reasonable price to enable those on low incomes to buy good quality furniture at below high street prices Sales income is used to cover overheads, develop the project and support our sister project, Beacon Debt Advice. Beacon Furniture is a charitable project run by Portsdown Community Church Charity No. 290803 Members of Furniture Reuse Network (www.frn.org.uk) Funds raised cover overheads, development and helps support our sister project Beacon Debt Advice.	Interested in volunteering? We are actively seeking further volunteers both shop assistants and delivery assistants. Volunteers should share our values and vision, be willing to work as part of a team and have a few hours to spare, daytime or evening.
